The faculty of the Department of Computer is involved in research at the frontiers of many key areas of computer science. Areas of active research include algorithms, computational geometry, computational learning theory, databases, wireless networks, network security, distributed systems, data compression, image processing and understanding, multimedia, software engineering and testing, data mining, and more.
Mechanical Engineering has all time demand and its spectrum grows with advance in other areas of Technology. Any physical system, be it power, communication, computer or machinery, has to manufactured, operated , monitored or manipulated by mechanical engineering. In fact, no industry can run without its retinue of Mechanical engineers: be it Design, Erection, Commissioning, R & D, Production. Globalization, signing of GATT, over seas collaborations, transfer of technology etc call for high quality standards and technology up gradation at all levels in the industry, where in a Mechanical Engineer has an important role to play.

IT is working as a hub to drive the businesses to new heights. IT jobs are more paying as well as more demanding. To continuously learn and grasp new technologies is a real challenge for IT professionals. Creating such professionals to take this challenge and rise to the apex of IT profession is our goal. To impart good quality undergraduate engineering education, the department focuses on development of practical and application oriented minds. All computer laboratories of the department are powered by the latest hardware configuration and software technologies. The department enjoys 24-hrs internet connectivity on high speed LAN network and is supported by WLAN network too. It also enjoys support of online IEEE and other journals which are accessible to all students and faculty members.
The electronic revolution which took off with the development of semiconductor devices and technology shows no sign of having peaked. Modern communication technologies are changing, and will continue to change, the way we live and work. With the continued projected growth in high bandwidth communication media and VLSI technologies, it is indeed difficult to predict the range of electronic and communication products which will be available even, say, five years from now. Communication facilities are now considered a very important index of a country’s essential infrastructure, vital to it’s industry, finance, scientific research and defense capabilities. A country which aspires to a better life for it’s citizens can not afford to neglect it’s communication infrastructure.
For the developing country like India the basic requirements to expedite the overall development. Development of Infrastructure like Roads , Railways, Transportation, Docks and Harbours. Research & Development in Modern agricultural system Development of water management system. Construction of Dams, Canals, Check Dams. All above mentioned area are under Civil Engineering. Hence there are ample opportunities of employment as well as self employment. Keeping such requirement in mind competent and experienced faculty of civil engineering department prepare the student.
Automobile Engineering has come of age in India. Automobile hubs and clusters are spread across the length and breadth of India. With the boom in the Industrial sector, the education sector has witnessed the mushrooming of engineering colleges in the last two decades. The profession of Automobiles, in addition to the Skills, also requires the knowledge of Research and Development, Artistic creativity in Design coupled with Leadership and Business acumen. It also requires a broad understanding of scientific principles, knowledge of materials and fuels.
